Rhodes

We love holidays to Rhodes and it’s no wonder this is Greece’s most popular island. As well as sunshine, Rhodes is blessed with a rich classical heritage, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There’s something for everyone on this island of contrasts, which is why so many of you have visited it. If you’ve not yet been or need reminding of its many attractions and reasons for going back, then read on and be inspired for Rhodes holidays in 2018.

Come and see Rhodes for yourself and explore Ancient temples and castles, quiet coves and traditional villages, and a cosmopolitan capital full of shops, restaurants, tavernas and bars, serving every kind of cuisine – plus many contestants for the island’s best ice cream parlour!

There’s a fabulously wide choice of resorts, from lively to laid-back, lining the splendidly sandy beaches which are in abundance all over the island – even Rhodes Town has the very lovely Rhodos beach. Windsurfers head to Passionis, sun-seekers love the fine soft sands of Lindos Bay, and spa enthusiasts can alternate between the luxury spa and the lovely beach at Kallithea.

Faliraki Town boasts a popular beach as well as the island’s three biggest clubs and some fabulous places to eat out. If it’s delicious fast food you’re after, choose from informal Greek grill houses and tavernas. For a different dining experience, there are attractive restaurants where you can find all your favourite foods or try some tasty Greek delicacies like Symi shrimps and grilled octopus.

If the delights of Rhodes aren’t enough for you, or if you simply wish to see more of Greece on your hard earned get-away, then why not combine your stay with some time on other nearby islands? We recommend adding on a few days in Symi, or if time doesn’t allow, you can easily visit this picture-perfect little neighbouring island for the day. Or the lovely islands of Kos, Halki and Tilos. These and many other scenic and romantic islands in the Dodecanese are also ideal destinations for weddings and honeymoons. So why not get married on one and honeymoon on another?
